How can I get/generate leads as a travel agent?
I am in the process of developing a home-based travel business. I have had a host-agency for awhile and have sold a couple of cruises and I have started getting certifications, I qualify for a CLIA card with my host agency now. I am not in an MLM. I am getting frustrated trying to generate new business. I don’t have a huge goal at this point, just $1,000 a month in commisions. I have bought leads from 4vacations.com and they don’t seem to go anywhere and seem to be a waste of money to me. What other ways can I get leisure/vacation leads?
Here are some ideas , research your customers,peak times , low season , who goes where, the most traveled areas, their budget , their nationality.
Why do they travel, business etc.etc.
Do not just sell tickets sell the destination , every time someone wants to go somewhere, if they have an appointment with have a little report about the place they are going be staying at ;night life, shopping, museums, local transportation, make them feel like they talking to a local, that will leave a good impression, if you can help them in their research for sure they will spread the word.
If you wanna do a website, create an attractive one, with trivias, cht areas for travelers to exchange tips, do contests with coupon towards a trip.
Join an affiliate program like Ebay , Expedia or Google
Create a news letter about traveling issues, : How to pick a mile rward program, what vaccinations are neede for this country, insurance when going abroad,

How to Find a Good Mlm Opportunity
Searching for an MLM opportunity is often a difficult task. But, there are a few things that you can and should consider during your search. Every Network Marketing Company has a product to sell (and if they don’t, run because they’re probably illegal), so it is important that the product is something you are passionate about or could get passionate about when you see how it is assisting people. It is important to believe in the product that you are going to be selling because if you’re not, people will see right through you. If you start an Mlm Business and are selling a product that you do not believe in, people will see right through your ploy and know you’re just in it to make money.
Another thing you should consider before starting an MLM opportunity is the compensation plan that the business has. Some Network Marketing Companies have a compensation plan that requires you to sign up so many people who also sign up so many people in order to get paid. Some companies only pay you on your “weak leg,” and to me this means that they’re not going to pay you on most of you work. For the most part, the easier the compensation plan is to explain, the simpler it is to make money (I don’t say “easier” here because Mlm Businesses require work)! Let’s talk about how to have a successful first week in your MLM opportunity. It’s important to get excited about your opportunity, but you also want to calm down enough to actually have a strategy as to how you are going to introduce your products to your friends or family members, along with any other types of marketing you’re going to do.
It seems like it’s the newest trend for people to say, ”You don’t need to talk to your friends and family,” but my mindset is: why not mention it to them so that way when I’m making lots of money, they are not upset because I didn’t give them the opportunity. And plus, a lot of them will say yes if you don’t hype it up and tell them you’re going to make $100,000 in the next two weeks. I found from many years of trial and error that just down playing your product and your business is much more believable. I think this approach works much better than ignorance on fire. Knowledge on fire equals better results.

Buddy Summit MLM Event Review
Sorry I’m a bit late reporting on the 2009 Buddy Summit MLM Event. But I suspect that Shannon Denniston, who is the person that coordinated this event will be running one every year so be on the lookout for this one in 2010. This event took place August 27th through August 30th 2009. 50 people were the max allowed to participate in this gathering.
Not too many people know this but I know how the name Buddy Summit came about. Shannon Denniston owns a bunch of websites with the word Buddy in them, like Buddy Responders and quite a few others. So calling this event Buddy Summit is simply attaching the name of this MLM Event to his website brand. Some of the top Network Marketers showed up at this event like Todd Falcone, Dale Calvert, Raven Starre, Lin Ellis, Joe Bowen and Simon Leung. This event took place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
While they were down there, they went Bungee Jumping, Indoor Skydiving, participated in Extreme Go Cart Racing and Zorb, at least those were the outdoor activities they engaged in or maybe I should say some of the outdoor activities. Plus there were speaking engagements and these top network marketers took the pedestal and ranted about their successes, something that would positively rub off on a lot of us.
Guests at the Buddy Summit MLM Event resided this year in the largest Log Cabin Chalet in the state of Tennessee. It included 15 bedrooms, 18 bathroom as well as Two Hot Tubs, a Pool Table and a Hockey Table. They also had a cyber room which was Wireless High Speed Internet Friendly, so if you needed to check your emails or get a bit of work done during the trip you could do that as well.
The Buddy Summit location was smack in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountains by Dollywood which is in Splash County and very close to lots of entertainment facilities, fancy restaurants and popular Tennessee Shopping Malls. Although you had to pay for your own meals when you were down there, everyone ate together in the evening. Tickets sold for only $197.00 per seat.
In fact contrary to what one may believe, there weren’t just Internet Marketers present at the Buddy Summit MLM Event. There were also Real Estate Investors, Internet Marketers and Serial Entrepreneurs present as well. So I’m sure a lot of very serious connections and networking was done at this event. I wish I could have made it down to Pigeon Forge myself this year, but I’ve been totally strapped with things to do. But I’d sure love to make it next year.
