So I’ll go and look and sure enough I got an email about this most amazing product that is just in pre-launch and if I get in early, my money problems will be all over. The fix is on, so they sell the furniture, now I can be a “founder” of this so-called new company. Things are now happening and people are joining, but an uneasy feeling comes over me after reading an email. The government is looking into them for some unknown allegations. I’m sure leaders of this company will know what to do, it will be all right. So they keep going, and then it happens. The products are taking longer to come and complaints are rising. The commission checks are bouncing. So they hurry home from the bank holding this bad check and they hop on to the company website, and you get “sorry website not found”. And now you feel this sick feeling in your stomach. You sit there in unbelief. How did this happen? So I go call my up-line for support so he/she can give me with some comforting words that it will be OK and things will get back together soon. But all you get is voice mail and for some funny reason they haven’t called you back.

Is this you or has been you? Well I can tell you I have been there! Let me tell you there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel, no it’s not a train coming. It’s the light of your success dawning in the conscience of your mind. But it’s going to take time and you will need to have patience with yourself. This not about any New Mlm Company or product but it’s about you and your education. It’s about learning to understand yourself and your prospects. And finally it about learning to market. Understanding what makes a success and where does it start from. Understanding your mind and how it works and taking steps to build up yourself. Network Marketing is about connecting with liked minded people who understand your desire for a better life. In the beginning of this article your driving people away from you, that not networking, it’s division. So how do I attract the right people to me. First you need to work on you and what you believe and know about the products you love and how they changed your life or improved the health/life of a loved one. It’s your passion and belief in the product to give life changing results that keeps you in the game. People will be attracted to you who feel the same way and will partner with you in the mission. Are you starting to get the picture here, it’s about you not about your MLM. It’s now time to promote “YOU”. You have fought the battles and have bled and now it time for victory. Now Let’s Join arms together and take this world for home-based business in 2010.

Welcome to Part Three of how to craft an MLM Marketing Success Formula.  In Parts One and Two I talked about two of the key elements in the formula, which is targeting your market and prospecting effectively.

 Once you have led a prospect into taking action from your prospecting efforts, you are ready to send them to some kind of presentation to learn more about your product or service.  There are different ways to present your product:  In Person, On the phone, Webinar or Using the written word. 

 The most inexpensive way is using the phone and is great because you can grow your business all over the world.  Over the phone also gives the most consistent and highest conversions of any of the four methods.  Plus, everyone has a phone.  And there are many free conference lines you may use for recording your presentation.  The phone presentation also helps you leverage your time by being able to send multiple prospects to the presentation call at one time.

 The content of your presentation must also guide the prospect through the four key elements of marketing as I spoke about in Part two: Attention, Interest, Decision and Action.

MLM and networking can present a spectacular opportunity, but in order to take advantage of this, participants must have an understanding of how to succeed in the business or home business world, and must comprehend the profit margins and the compensation plans of the business they are about to enter into. MLM does cut out the traditional middlemen, but replaces them with other middlemen called your up-line. Mlm Training: Should You Advertise? Some Say No!

Training your downline includes instruction on how to promote the products and the business. Provide them with a system that can be easily duplicated, but provide one that does NOT limit them to just one way to promote.

Following is a question from a FirstClassMLMTools.com visitor:

“Tim, I have a background in sales and marketing. When I came into Network Marketing I did what was asked of me in regards to working my warm market. Having gone through my warm market I asked my upline what I should do now. He said, ‘Talk to people at the mall.’

My husband went with a group who would walk up to strangers (at the mall) and ask a question about earning extra money. My husband returned home and said he did NOT feel comfortable with that approach at all.

I asked my upline if I could advertise and he recommended against it because it’s not duplicatable. Could you give me your thoughts on the subject?

Hi Kristin,

First off, I won’t go against your upline. You should talk to them and find out why they feel talking to people at the mall is a better idea (to them) than advertising. See if their answer works for you.

I will also answer this question in another way and perhaps you can explain it to your upline.

Let’s go all the way back to the definition of MARKETING. It means “to make known in such a way that your product or service appears desirable.” You have a business and a product that needs to be made known. That is what you do for your company. So in my view, any method that accomplishes this (and is legal and ethical) is fair game. I’ll also add below some comments on being “duplicatable.”

The truth is, I’ve seen very successful people in network marketing who have ONLY worked their warm market and the warm market of those they sponsor. I’ve seen very successful people who have built their business from advertising in newspapers. I’ve also seen people who have been successful by building with direct response (post cards, door hangers, street signs, etc.). And, I’ve had people in my downline who walked up and talked to strangers on the streets of New York City and were very successful.

What’s my point? My point is that ANY method that makes your business and/or products KNOWN and desirable…works! This is absolutely proven - case closed.

Let me do a slight direction change and discuss a little bit about duplication. Duplication is the concept of creating a series of successful methods, and then everyone in the downline can do those same methods. The franchise industry has been used as an effective comparison. A burger in Florida is the same burger in California.

Being “duplicatable” means, WHAT YOU DO MUST BE DOABLE BY EVERY PERSON IN YOUR DOWNLINE. This is fine on paper but quickly becomes problematic when real life comes into play.

If I sponsor a personal fitness trainer who has the power of influence over her clients, so that when she recommends for them to take a product, they take it, is that duplicatable? No, unless everyone she sponsors is a personal fitness trainer. So should I tell her not to use her influence to sell products because it’s not “duplicatable?” Absolutely not!

Someone in my downline was the owner of a large clothing manufacturer, and was running ads in the newspaper using his (very successful) name; he was sponsoring a lot of people with that ad! Am I (the upline) supposed to tell him that he can’t do it because it’s not duplicatable? That would be rather stupid.

I could list several hundred examples off the top of my head, but I think you get the picture.

My conclusion on this as an upline, was to pull back from the specific methods people use to make their business and product known, but teach them a “duplicatable system” that encompasses any method they want to use to promote their business.

Those of you familiar with Professional Inviter have witnessed on the recorded live calls with prospects, that I used every method that a person can use to get prospects: friends, family, purchased leads, post cards, walking and talking, newspaper ads, etc. Yet, I use the same “duplicatable system” throughout every call.

As an upline, it’s very important to have a duplicatable system, but at the same time, to not limit a person from doing the business the way that best fits what they feel comfortable doing. If YOUR duplicatable system is talking to people at the mall, you’ve limited your business to only those people who are willing to talk to strangers at the mall.

As an upline, don’t get in your downline’s way of the definition of the word MARKETING. Let your downline make their (and your) business and products known!

I have started working for an amazing Mlm Company, Ambit. What are some good places and ways I can market it?

One great way would be to build a website. There are some things that will be important to learn. One being internet mastery. The Internet can be an explosive tool. It’s incredible, but just like any other tool you must know how to properly use it. Having a website just isn’t enough these days. You need to know what to have on it, where to position it, and how to tap into the mind of the visitor. What is it that you have that others just have to have. I am not referring to the replicated website that the company offers. Most replicated sites do not get organic traffic from the search engines. You would end up paying to get traffic to your site and would have a terrible conversion rate. You can post your opportunity on free classifieds online. You can also spend time sharing your experience in forums as long as you fallow the terms and conditions.
