USANA Scam Are We All Really Being Taken?

It is truly amazing, but there really a great amount of people who, when looking into MLM, they end up saying, “Is there really a USANA scam, or is the business legitimate?”

What is the best way to recruit for a Network Marketing Business Opportunity?

I am new to network marketing and do not have a warm market. Thus, my problem is formed. What is an alternative way to find people to recruit? Also, any other suggestions and tips is much appreciated.

There is no other way to do it successfully than to start out in your warm market. Studies have shown that anyone who is over 21 years old knows over 10,000 people. Surely you have 100 you could speak to. Here’s how I did mine. Instead of asking them to buy product, ask them who they know that might need your help. If its a product or service that truly helps people, they won’t hesitate to share names with you.

Your warm market is your training ground. They will forgive you if you don’t know everything there is to know about your company. Once you’ve been trained in your warm market, you should be good enough to move on to your cold market. (There’s a reason they call it ‘cold’ market)

The beauty of your network marketing group (if they are any good) is in that they have a system in place for people to be successful. If you are not willing to follow the system, you need to get out. There is a saying in network marketing. “People need to be coachable. If they are not coachable one of two things happens — they quit or they become coachable”.

Make sure you are in an organization where your upline is willing to work with you every day. If they are not, quit and find one where this happens, or start calling upline. Call to your first upline National. If they are not available, call your second upline National, as high as it takes to find someone willing to mentor you, and then plant yourself at their feet. If you cannot find anyone willing to work with you on a daily basis, start looking for another company.

I have made it to Senior Regional Sales director with over 100 people under me within 6 months. I’ve done it by staying in contact with my National every day.

Anyone starting a Multi-level Marketing Business or any type of home business will need a lead company to provide targeted prospects for your business. One thing you need to ask yourself is how they generate the leads. Good companies will generate potential contacts through a range of methods.

Today, lead generating companies use the internet along with telemarketing, ad campaigns, and direct mail campaigns. They will then use a software program to provide you with business opportunity leads that fit your business.

I personally have been in Network Marketing Business for over 10 years and know how deep the shark infested waters of bad lead companies that over promise and under deliver. There are 7 Myths about mlm email leads and the companies that provide these services that you should be aware of and avoid when choosing a lead company.

Myth 1 “We will give you 50 FREE Leads to try out with no obligation”

Many companies will offer you free leads to try out their service. First, the leads that you get are not very good, responsive, and often more than 72 hours old which means the leads are not “hot but “cold”. Secondly, and more importantly, when you sign up to get the free leads, you just became a lead.

Myth 2 “We generate our own leads”

This is false. 90% of lead companies do not generate their own leads but purchase their own. They in turn resell them to you. These leads have been “turned” so to speak anywhere from 5-10 times. Myth 3 “Our leads are Targeted Leads to your home business specialty”

One of the ways to “capture” a lead is to put up what we consider a “pop-up” window on a website that might be asking you if you want more information on a “credit card offer”. Then that company turns to any lead company and sells it. Now if you have a home business and looking for people who are interested in starting a home business, you go to Lead Company A and buy some mlm email leads. You will get leads from people who wanted information on credit card offers, not a home business. Is that targeted? What are your chances of converting a sale? Slim to none.

Myth 4 “Our Leads are 24 Hours old or less and “fresh”.

90% of leads sold are over 24 hours old if that fresh. The reason is modern technology, detailed work, time spent to gather the leads captured, and to upload them to you through an excel spreadsheet or other form of communication takes time. Make sure you read all the details about how the company obtained the mlm email lead in the first place.

Myth 5 “Leads were not offered an incentive”.

Lead companies will tell you this so that you don’t think the lead was offered any payment or free gift for filling out a survey. Most lead companies fail to disclose this. Make sure you do the research and ask questions of the company before you purchase the leads.

Myth 6 “Leads are Company Specific”

Many lead companies indicate to consumers that their mlm email leads are company specific. For example a website has a “popup” window if someone is interested in a earning money part time and they turn around and sell you the leads because they are interested in SFI (Six Figure Marketing) a popular home business opportunity on the internet. Does that mean its company specific? No where does it say that person who filled out the form and became a lead they were interested in that specific company.

Myth 7 “Millions of people are looking for a home business”

There are not millions of people looking for a home business. There are thousands everyday but not millions. If a lead company tells you that….they are stretching the truth just a bit.

Mlm Leads And Prospects Calling You At The Push Of A Button

We have all known that not having enough leads of prospects in our direct selling businesses is enough to make a grown man cry. The main issue is that when we join an Mlm Business, the first things that we are trained in is the writing of the big list of family and friends routine. Unfortunately, for the vast majority of us, that list soon runs out and we are left in the lurch, desperate for more contacts.

I just finished a coaching call with one of my team members by the name of Tyson.

Tyson said, “Man you cannot believe how unbelievably cool this website is and that website is, and this new marketing strategy and that new and improved marketing strategy, and this thing and that thing, and blah blah blah…” (No offense to Tyson of course)

So I had to ask, “That’s great Tyson. There’s a ton of cool stuff out there. But do you have your marketing system set up to receive leads?”

Tyson remarked, “Uhhh… well not really… ummm… NO…”

So I said, “Tyson my friend, how will red-hot prospects get a hold of you unless you have your sales funnel and marketing system set up? NO LEADS equals NO PROSPECTS equals NO COMMISSIONS equals NO MONEY in your bank account.”

I’m a pretty direct guy. I came to the realization that Tyson needed a loud and clear wake up call.

He was missing FOCUS.

Unshakable laser sharp focus, like a speeding bullet slicing through the center of an apple… the type of focus that terminates procrastination and gets the task at hand done NOW.

So I suggested to Tyson a very simple yet powerful plan of attack, “Tyson, each and every night before you retire for the evening, I’d encourage you to take out a writing pad and put into writing 5 things that you can absolutely without fail complete by the end of tommorrow.”

“Building a business is exactly the same as building a house. The first thing you need to do is complete a plan or a blueprint. And once you have your plan ready, you set one brick at a time… one right after the other. And then in a few short months, you’re going to have a pretty nice looking house.”

Tyson responded, “Beautiful! I totally love that concept. I can start building my house right away.

“You mean you can start building your MANSION right away,” I responded.

“What I really meant to say was DREAM HOME,” Tyson added.

Tyson listened to my recommendations and has been putting aside 10 to 15 minutes each and every night before bed to plan his following day, 5 precise tasks at a time.

And  the funny part is, inside of TWO WEEKS of our coaching call Tyson phoned me and said, “Thank you so much! You are not going to believe this! I am already getting 10 to 15 leads coming in EVERY SINGLE DAY. It’s amazing. I rise every morning with leads in my inbox!”

In conjunction with having a solid laser focused plan, you will positively need a marketing platform to bring in prospects and leads for your direct sales business on autopilot like moths to a flame.

And of course, it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a proven internet marketing and Mlm Coach to boot.

How Do Mlm Companies Work?

Multilevel Marketing (MLM Companies) are sometimes referred to direct sales companies or Network Marketing, and have been around for a long time.  An incredibly wide array of products and services has been sold through the system of direct contact with a consumer, and getting the consumer to begin to market the item or service also.  A chain or downline is created, with each sale benefiting the person above.

That Sounds Like a Pyramid.  I Thought Those Were Illegal.

As long as what is being marketed is a product or service, and not the compensation plan itself for money, the Mlm Company is legal.  If money is taken to buy a place in the downline and no product or service is exchanged, the plan is an “illegal pyramid”.

What Are the Advantages of MLM?

With products or services sold in a store, most of the revenue generated goes to overhead – salaries and wages, rent, maintenance, and many other operating expenses.  This takes a healthy chunk out of the profit which is usually made up by increasing the price of the items.  Generally the owner makes the most money because of his or her responsibility to the organization; less wages are distributed to the employees depending on their responsibilities.

Any store owner will tell you that he or she is harnessed to the business and spends an incredible amount of time just to “make a go of it”. And employees are limited to the amount of money they can earn.

MLM takes the overhead expenses out of the business by making the operation home-based.  There are many advantages in working from the home, among those being tax write-offs, no overhead, small or no inventory, no commuting, and the freedom of working hours that work for you. And there is no limiting wage or compensation.  Each person has the same opportunity to make as much money as he or she wants.

What is Network Marketing?

Simply stated, network marketing means helping others to be successful makes you successful.  As you recruit others to sell the product, their sales add to your income.  The compensations do not come from the downline sales – everyone gets the same mark up on product - but from the parent organization. Therefore, it is to your advantage to train and support those in your downline.  It becomes a community effort where everyone wins.

How Do I Choose a MLM Company?

Do some research with the Better Business Bureau, an online listing of top companies is available, talk to others in the business, and most importantly, choose a product or service that you can become passionate about.  Your enthusiasm goes the greatest distance, even more than the hours you dedicate to the business.

Don’t expect the glamour of the get-rich-quick stories to apply to those who do not want to dedicate the time and energy required.  As in any start up company, it takes time and attention to build a successful business.  It’s really up to you.
