Don’t you hate MLM’s?

There are a lot of people posting spam on here to try to promote MLMs. I can’t stand them and consider it an insult to my intelligence to be pitched. Yes, I know there are some legit companies that use MLM as a business model. But most are scams. Anyone care to rant?

If you consider it to be insulting you need to get some thicker skin. Its no different than someone begging for money, only at least those people have their dignity. You can take pleasure in the fact that anyone desperate enough to try to find business leads from yahoo questions is in a business of losers. Most of these fools are too dumb to even realize that the only people who would ever be willing to sign on to someone’s online “business” are people so incapable of doing anything productive themselves that they are generally desperate for a quick fix and latch on to the glimmer of hope that someone posting big money opportunities might offer. Its merely a club of the naive and idiotic. Can you imagine considering making money by spamming? Merely by recognizing it for what it is you are leaps and bounds ahead of these people for most of them don’t even see the ridiculousness of it all.

If you are looking into starting a home based business, on either a full or part-time basis, and are good at working with people, but have little business knowledge and minimal capital, then Multilevel Marketing may be for you. Before you jump into a MLM company, you should consider the positives and the negatives of an MLM company.

These attributes would definitely belong to an ideal multilevel marketing company, however not all reputable companies excel in all these areas. Some companies will be better in certain areas than others. Do research on the company. Don’t just accept the motivational hype used by most MLM companies in order to recruit.

Some Mlm Distributors are so highly trained that they have a “come-back” for almost every statement you make or concern you have. This would be considered a ‘high-pressure’ invitation to join. Always take time away to cool off - especially if you’re excited by what you heard. Sit on your decision for a while and do research. If the company is good, they will still be there when you wake up tomorrow; and yes, you will get a follow-up phone call.

While the Mlm Model can be a great tool to achieve what you want in life, it would be remiss not to mention the negatives of MLM companies.

-Watch out for disreputable MLM companies.
-Building a downline will take longer than and cost you more than you think.
-There are costs to running an MLM that you need to consider: gas for your car, staying in hotels, and taking people out to eat.
-It usually takes a minimum monthly order to maintain your distributorship.
-Watch out for getting paid to just recruit distributors and not on sales volume.
-Even though the companies insist the products sell themselves, it is still going to take hard work to make money.
-In MLM you have to deal with rejection.
-Getting involved with certain MLM companies can cause you to focus all your attention on your business. Some distributors stop attending important family events because the family event falls on the same date as one of their MLM seminars.

When considering getting involved in an MLM company take the time to choose the right company. There are many different companies to choose from. Resist the temptation to just join any company, but do your due diligence. Also, count the costs involved in getting involved in MLM. Realize that there are hidden costs to starting an MLM company that you may not see on the surface.

Starting an Mlm Business can make you a fortune, but it can also cost you a fortune. It is going to take consistent and diligent work to succeed. Make sure that the company that you choose to work with has all the positives mentioned above and also take the time to consider if you are willing to put in the work that is necessary to make MLM work. One of the things that hold people back from taking a network marketing business opportunity is that they immediately think that it’s MLM. While network marketing is often associated with MLM, they’re not the same thing. In fact, network marketing can work for you without being attached to MLM.

While it’s not the point of this article, it’s still appropriate to mention that there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with MLM. All too often, it gets associated with pyramid schemes, which constitute a small percentage of Mlm Companies. Avon, Mary Kay and Amway are all Legitimate Mlm companies.

Strategy, not Structure

The primary difference between network marketing and MLM is that while one is a strategy, MLM is a structure. This is an important distinction, since it means that our strategy works without the MLM structure.

You can use this type of marketing in your own direct sales campaign, which means one very important thing. You get to keep all the money from your sales, rather than give up a percentage to the person above you in the MLM hierarchy.

Starting A Marketing Campaign in Direct Sales

If you’ve already had experience using a network marketing campaign in MLM, then you’re ahead of the game. However, not everyone has that experience. If you’ve never used it, here are the essentials.

Network marketing is essentially using social networks to make sales. This does not necessarily mean that you have to start by selling to your friends and family.
