Help please. How to politely respond to invites to multi level marketing parties?
It seems everyone I know is trying to make extra money or earn products by having a “Party”. You know, the Arbonne, Jewelry, Wine, Clothing parties. These are people that are friends and aquaintences, so I need to find a great, polite way to say “NO”. I just have a general rule not to go to these things, because if I did go to all of them, I would have to get a 2nd job to support it. I feel if I go to one of them, then it is offensive to not go to all of them. Does anyone have any NICE ways to say no?

In the past few months we have seen three major companies close their MLM side and as a result displace their distributors: XELR8, Arbonne, and most recently ILearning Global. XELR8 and ILearning Global simply wanted to change they way they market and Arbonne is going through a bankruptcy. This is a very sad thing for distributors because they may have spent years building a team and all of a sudden that income is taken away from them overnight. There are three important things that you must do in order to survive if this happens to you: Brand Yourself, Build a List, and have Multiple Streams of Income.
There are many ways to brand yourself on the internet. One way is to secure a personal domain name and create a web presence such as JohnDoe.com or WhoIsJohnDoe.com. Here you can post all your blog entries and videos. It helps you brand yourself as an expert in your niche. Also, utilize social media networks. Set up profiles on these sites and try to use the same headshot so that people will begin to recognize you.
Building a list is very important in your Network Marketing Business. How many times have your heard that the money is in the list? Do You Think “Fairness In Broadcasting” Legislation Will Ever Become Law Again?
Will the government ever force “equal time to all viewpoints” laws on us again?
I understand that all radio and television licenses are public and “granted” to the networks, but Satellite radio/television and cable are private and will not have to follow the “fairness” laws if they come back.
Do you think “equal time” laws are fair to the networks, considering they serve very defined demographics?
For instance, the laws would force some AM talk radio stations that serve liberal markets to offer editorials with a conservative viewpoint and vice versa.
Do you think these laws will make a comeback?
Do you think they’re fair?
I hope not Because it is not meant to open it is meant to silence conservative voices. Remember PBS and NPR say they are open and balanced (the example of fairness) and if your conservative you will never hear anything conservative on it.
That is why News talk radio evolved. When people heard their neighbors of all backgrounds calling in and suddenly discovered there were others out there that agreed with them and their views. They discovered they were not crazy and alone. They heard a vast range of ideas and could call in and give theirs too. FOX News became the largest network, larger than CNN and MSNBC combined, in 10 short years. Before that there was only liberal biased broadcasts just repeating the same mantras on all channels ABC, NBC, ABC, PBS, and CNN. That was what was considered fair and balanced until FOX and Talk radio showed up. Suddenly we now need fairness as the old guys loose market share to the new guys.
Actually I switched to FOX because I noticed I was only hearing one side on CNN and on FOX I heard that and the another side too, honestly given. I compared the two for sometime before I actually switched permanently to FOX which I found more fair in its reporting. The Left hates talk radio as they find their ideas challenged and can`t defend themselves in an open honest forum. That is why Air America went belly up, they couldn`t discuss and reverted to hate speak 24 hours a day.
Let the market decide.

What I know is that if you carry a significant amount of extra weight to above 40 years of age, you will be pre-disposed to developing high blood pressure problems. which carries more health risks including stroke, heart disease, and renal failure. Carrying a significant amount of extra weight will also affect the integrity of the weight bearing joints, specifically the ankles, knees and hips.
Changes of body weight can occur through alteration of several variables including
1) amount and type of food ingested,
2) central control of satiety
3) hormonal control of assimilation or storage
4) physical activity or metabolic rate. and
5) the use of weight loss products.
Amount and Type of Food Ingested. Usually this is the first key to healthy diet. A balance of proteins and carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables are essential for good health. Avoid fatty , greasy foods and excessive sweets , like desserts. The amount of what you eat is important. To stop eating as soon as you fill full is a good practice. No second serving is advisable.
Central Control of Satiety. Research showed that there is a serotonin type-3 (5HT3) hindbrain receptors which mediates cholecystokinin (CCK) -induced satiation in response to nutrients entering the small intestine. It appears that the CCK-1 and 5-HT3 receptors participate in the inhibition of of food intake by integrating both intestinal and gastric satiating signals.
Hormonal Control of Assimilation or Storage: You have heard about the link between the stress hormone cortisol and weight loss. Excess stress may lead to high cortisol levels that stimulate your appetite with the end result being weight gain or difficulty losing unwanted pounds.
