Set 30-40 Cold Market Appointments Per Week for your MLM Guaranteed Using This Script

In this article I am going to give you the EXACT script and technique I used to personally set 30-40 cold market 1 on 1appointments per week!

I was only 19 when I started my very first Network Marketing Business. Because I had relatively few contacts business or otherwise I was forced out into the cold market very early.

I?ve done some crazy stuff to build my business. I?ve done everything from buying leads, spending thousands of dollars on a subscription to Monster Jobs to call resumes, standing around at gas stations, paying people to stand around at colleges with clipboards to collect numbers, placing advertisements, getting kicked out of Starbucks & Barnes and Noble for pestering customers and finally my favorite method ? cold calling business cards.

I am going to give you guys the exact process and script so that you too can set endless appointments. If you want to see this call in action live on YouTube just scroll down and read my signature.

I?m not going to put a lot of fluffer junk in here like ?always remember to smile when making calls? or ?stand up and be positive?. I?m going to get straight to the good stuff.

Here are the steps you need to take:

1. Collect business cards by either asking friends or getting someone to go into your target markets offices and just collecting them in person. For example when I was doing this I had my girlfriend go to all the real estate, mortgage and title companies in our city and collect business cards for a month straight. I had over 2,000 business cards to call!

2. Make yourself a very good follow up system. The fortunes in the follow up. Do NOT start making calls and diving into this without a great follow up and tracking system. I will have a video of this up very soon.

3. Always have your script, objection sheet and calendar in front of you.

Ok here it is. The actual script that allowed me to set as many appointments as I wanted on demand. To some of you this may seem too simple and you?re right IT IS! That?s why its so effective.

Ring ring ring?

Prospect: Hi, this is Jim

Me: Hey Jim this is Jake Hyten, I have your business card here it was referred to me by a friend, you got a quick second?

Prospect: Sure

Me: Well listen, my business partners and I are expanding a company out of the east coast here into California and we?re looking for business professionals to partner up with and are you still with ABC mortgage company?

Prospect: Yes I am.

Me: Ok, well outside of ABC do you keep your options open?

Prospect: Always

Me: Ok, do you live in the Rancho area? Good well I?ll be in that area tomorrow and Monday (always pick two consecutive days) how do you look tomorrow morning or does the afternoon typically work better for ya?

Prospect: Morning is good

Me: Ok let?s see here, ok you know where that Starbucks is on the corner of Foothill and Haven is right? Let?s get together there at 9am for about 15 minutes, you can buy me a coffee (obviously in a kidding tone).

In the beginning you are going to get a lot of objections but gradually you will be able to overcome them and just set the appointment.

Notice a very important part in the above script. Almost every sentence of mine is a question. This is extremely important. We all know the person asking the questions controls the direction of the conversation.

Here are what your numbers should look like. In the very beginning from people that I have personally trained you should be able to set appointments with 30-40% of the people you talk to but once you get it down you should be able to set 80% with almost zero objections. Usually the only question I get is how I got their card. Extremely

Important Tips:

1. Always sound relaxed like he is your buddy on the phone

2. Do not answer his questions with a direct answer. If he asks you a question answer it and follow it up with another question that brings the conversation back to where you want which is setting the appointment (you can see examples of this on my youtube videos and myspace)

3. When you are in the part of the script where you are setting the appointment if you get asked questions always follow it up by re-closing for the appointment. Do not expect the prospect to just say ?yes lets meet? you need to guide him to the appointment with your questions and statements.

Well guys although this is very simple it is very effective. If you aren?t afraid of the phone and are wiling to jump on and hear the no?s you will be on your way to setting as many appointments as you need!

The most important part is to just get started. Collect some junk business cards of people who you wouldn?t be nervous to call to practice on.

Being Successful in Mlm Means Getting Inside the Mind of your Customer With the Right Mlm Training

Hey, welcome to ‘Getting inside the mind of your customer’, it’s not all that spooky, nothing spiritual or involving yourself in anything weird, it’s just a natural part of mlm training.

First of all, why do you want to do this? Big question!! And a good one too I might add, after all, if there’s no point in doing it … why do it? Mlm training will provide you with a huge variety of tools that will give you confidence in what you’re doing, but few moreso than this.

Why your mlm training will teach you this is because … if you want people to come to you, you must know what they want. Sounds ridiculously easy, but doesn’t it make sense? (Nod your head). No fisherman ever went after a snapper with a kingfisher lure did they? Figuring out what the fish wants and then giving it what it wants in such a way that the fish can’t resist take a chop and being reeled in.

Obviously you’re not tricking humans with your product (because yours is the best right?), but mlm training needs to point you in the direction of putting your product in front of people that want it. AND in such a way they will ‘take a bite’.

Right. We know what we need to do now. But how?

‘Never judge a man, until you have walked a mile in his moccasins’ - indian proverb. ‘Never try and sell a man a product unless you have walked a mile in his nikes’ - Daniel Tolmie.

For those of you heading out the door to buy moccasins come back and sit down. Part of Mlm training is about anticipating the clients likes, dislikes, fears, wants, hobbies … everything!!! Then tailoring your message to them…

Mlm training will teach your much more than these but here’s some good examples;

- What do they want?

- What are they afraid of?

- What do they like?

- What do they DISlike?

- What is their sense of humour generally like?

- What do they do in their spare time?

- Do they have kids?

- What are their concerns?

- What do they prefer?

- What pushes their buttons more than anything else?

Once you know this, you can communicate to them in a way that grabs their attention what your product will do for them. How to do this might involve reading a few blogs, books or articles in a newspaper about these people. Yes people, it takes work, no free lunch in mlm.

With your mlm training, once you have grabbed a prospects attention that needs/wants/desires a product like yours. Keep doing that until you have sold enough product to buy a small country. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I am not sure there is a true way to build a MLM. I have just started a direct sales business after doing some research on MLM, and I just couldn’t see it being worth the time and effort for a single product line. They all have something good and probably really worth marketing, but the value! The value for the dollar, I don’t see it. I want to be able to give something to the public that even the average family can afford and know that they are really saving money. Diary Of A Home Business Addict

I have been involved in many mlm and direct sales companies over the span of my 9 year career.  It has given me vast insight into the industry.  Also, I have learned more about myself and the secret key ingredients to success that so few people learn and even fewer apply.

My experiences have been my greatest teacher though all were preceded by learning from someone already successful at what I currently wanted to do.  I hate the idea of “making my own mistakes” when I could just as easily learn from someone else’s.  Even still, there have been many spectacular failures along with the successes.

Sometimes you will be ready to receive success, other times you won’t.  There may still be a lesson you must learn to be worthy of the success you seek.

-Direct Matches (business networking)

It may seem like I jump from company to company and in hindsight I did.  Also, my powers of perception were weak enough to make me susceptible to some scams (12 daily pro being the most glaring).  But I regret none of it because you have to be open or nothing happens in your life.

So, over the 9 years of blood, sweat and tears what have I learned you ask?  Too many things to tell you in this short article but I will give you the keys so you can avoid my mistakes.

1. Do some due diligence.  Don’t beat a dead horse so you never have to make a decision.  But search “company name scam” or “company name reviews” in your favorite engine.  If 1 or 2 bad things or even a few hundred no big deal.  If millions, watch out.  Also, talk to others already in the company to get there take.

Immediately read the policies and procedures of those companies you are interested in.  You want to see if there are any red flags (ongoing recruiting, minimum 4 sales per month, etc.) that can allow the company to steal the check you’ve built.  Then make the best decision for you based on the info you have.

Once you decide (quickly but not without relevant info) stand fast to it, resolve never to quit, and GET INTO ACTION.

2. Find a mentor.  Go as high up your upline as you need to in locating someone who is achieving the success you desire.  This has been my largest realization though it seems obvious.  Then make sure to follow AND apply their advice.

3. Find a mastermind group.  This can be as easy as getting on your company or team’s training calls.  Every good company should provide written, audio, and video training.  Or find a couple of people above your level of achievement to exchange ideas with.  In person is best, but teleconference will do.  Put the ideas into action immediately.

4. Map out where you want to be in 6 months and 1 year from today.  As humans our brains are goal-seeking units.  Give yourself a target to aim for so you’ll at least know you hit or missed and what to do from there.  Be specific with money goals, size of your team, number of leaders you will develop, and skills you will learn.

5. Break down the global list into small, consistent action steps you will take everyday. This will keep you focused (my past nemesis to success) and allow you to know and see how you are going to accomplish them.  Huge goals are beyond our understanding and never get done.  Many small, simple steps added up allow us to reach those big goals.

6. Have a basic understanding of your compensation plan.  You don’t have to know every detail but enough to know what pays you.  Different comp plans are better suited to different personality types.  Type in “4 personality types” in your favorite search for more info on what you are and the comp plan that best allows your success.

7. Now that you know what activities pay you, suck out those that don’t and spend a higher percentage of your time on those that do.  Successful people I have seen spend 80-90% of their WORKING time (play is also important) on money retrieving activity.

8. Know that setbacks will come.  The universe will send you tests and challenges.  Weather them, stay in the game and focused on your goals, and ride them out.

9. Review and revise along the way.  Go to the end of your goals and work backward to figure out what must happen to achieve them.  At the end of each month look at what happened and adjust your actions if you are not achieving your written goals.

10. Enjoy the journey and commit to learning along the way.  That is what being a leader is all about.  Lead from the front and by example and have fun while doing it.  You will meet great people along the way so combine high tech with high touch.

These are the main things experience has taught me.  You must have some kind of marketing system that generates leads for you.  The big boys in the industry use the internet so do what they do.

Remember, you are building your cash flow long-term so don’t think it’s a sprint.  Resolve to have a marathoner’s spirit.

The greatest thing about home businesses is that you put out tremendous effort today and the rewards come back to you over and over and over again.  There are some scams but the industry is strong and if you ever want financial independence this is the cheapest, best, easiest way to do it.

Traditional businesses and franchises cost hundreds of thousands to start.  Most home businesses are less than $1000 to start.

So get up off your butt and start taking the action that will allow you to achieve all the dreams you have for your life.  Become your own personal genie and grant yourself unlimited wishes.
