What is a Good Mlm Business for You?
There are a lot of questions to ask yourself when considering joining a MLM business. First of all, you have to realize that this is not a “get rich quick” program (well, it shouldn’t be anyway, or I highly doubt it’s legit!). Network Marketing Companies and businesses are real businesses that must be worked at. You have probably heard about the people who made $20,000 their first month…but I doubt they told you that they brought their whole team from their previous Network Marketing Company! Like a traditional business, success won’t come without some time, energy, and usually money invested. So, are you up for the challenge? If you have some serious doubts, now may not be the time to start a new Network Marketing Business. But, if you are ready to change your future forever, and you’re willing to do whatever you have to, then go for it!
Now that you’re committed to success, you have to ask yourself if the company that you’re considering markets a product that you can relate to. I have seen very few people successfully market a health and nutrition product who hated the industry. Just as I’ve seen very few people market a travel product who hates to travel. Find something that you have at least a little interest in! I’m not saying that you have to be a “health nut” to market a health product or love to travel to do that, but what I am saying is that you should have some care/concern about the people you’re marketing to.
The final “big” question to consider is what the compensation plan is for the MLM business you are looking at joining. Is it simple of complicated? Have you ever played a game that somebody made up that had rules so complicated that when he/she told you that you broke the rules you didn’t really know if it was true? This happens all the time in some companies! They make microscopic rules that in essence “steal” money from your pocket! (Of course, this isn’t always the case!) Don’t let somebody tell you that their compensation plan is “too complicated,” because it is very important for you to understand exactly how you will get paid! Another thing to be aware of is companies that pay you on your “weak leg.” When I translate this into my language it means: You don’t get paid on most of you work…that doesn’t seem right, does it? It’s like saying, you work from 8-5, but we’ll only pay you from 3-5. And, you have to work 8-5 to get paid 3-5. I just don’t see how these companies last!
