Is Succeeding In MLM Really A Numbers Game?

Often times you may’ve heard that how to succeed in Network Marketing – also known as MLM or multi level marketing – is all about your business being a numbers game.

Yes it is true that most of the folks you talk with will not join you in business so you’ve got to talk with a lot of them. But, as a word of caution, be careful should you see multi level marketing as being just a numbers game.

If you consider the ideas which follow you may see this numbers game thought in a new and different way.

It should be apparent that people get involved in a Network Marketing Business because they have goals and dreams.

They aren’t getting involved because they love to sell services. They feel that succeeding in an Mlm Business is a path to see their dreams and goals become reality.

Let’s say you’re reviewing your business opportunity with a prospect. She’s got some curiosity in the Mlm Industry but she also has her doubts. She is searching out assurance that if she does begin a network marketing business it is a sound decision.

You’re speaking with a real person here. She’s somebody’s friend. She’s a a grandmother, somebody’s wife, a mother or even an aunt.

In the event she senses that you see her as being a part of your MLM numbers game, she will pick right up on it. And if you see her as just a number you’ll exercise some sort of a high pressure pitch to get her into your business.

On the other hand, go ahead and bond with her on a personal level – to recognize her motivations for wanting to start a business in the first place – you will be seen as a valuable resource by her. She’ll see you as a person who cares and as a person who can assist her in realizing her dreams.

If you make it your mission in multi level marketing to be viewed as a true resource to others, you’re golden.

At the danger of sounding too mushy, speak with people with caring. Allow them to feel the concern and interest you have for their goals.

When you connect with people on a personal level and understand their goals for wanting to create a business then you will succeed in MLM.

As you speak with people about your opportunity, it’s what they’re after which is most important not what you’re after.

When you can help others to acquire what they want then you will achieve what you want in the process. And that is an undeniable, universal truth.

Please, go ahead and read the previous two sentences once more. Those two sentences are the most valuable business concept you will ever learn.

Also, being hung up on the numbers game of MLM means you’ll have an open door policy for your business. What is bound to happen is you’ll be left thinking that stuffing “numbers” into your business is the key to Mlm Success.

Looking at network marketing as a numbers game will lead you to believe that such garbage as the 3 foot rule is actually effective business building.

Are you familiar with this crazy rule?

What “the 3 foot rule” tells you is that anybody within 3 feet of your reach, at any given time, is a prospect for your MLM business.

That’s nuts! The last thing I personally would want to do is sell a perfect stranger on my business. All that the 3 foot rule will do is alienate others.

Let me finally add this; no doubt that a far fewer number of people you talk to will actually join your business but so what.

Taking the time and steps necessary to connect with the right people for your opportunity will put you sufficiently ahead of the success curve and will save you a ton of frustration in the process.

Most importantly always remember, network marketing is a relationship game, stop looking at it as a numbers game.
