Mlm Statistics
What are MLM statistics?
Can somone direct me to a proper, preferably unbiased website that discloses some real, credible direct marketing statistics? like dropout rate and whatnot
thx
Statistics on drop-out rates are difficult to find because The Mlms do not like to disclose them, for obvious reasons. The best case for an MLM is that a new prospect joins and pays the registration fee before they have the opportunity to research these statistics to find out what they are getting into. The FTC is aware of this problem and is proposing stronger rules against deceptive prospecting, but MLMs are already fighting this because they will lose money if the new rule is passed.
When a drop-out rate is disclosed, the actual number may be unbiased, but the explaination of that number can be very biased. From the MLM’s perspective, 99% of people did not just “drop out”, but rather they are quitters, did not work hard enough, or otherwise are at fault for their own failure. The people who drop out have the opinion that they were scammed out of money when they were convinced by the MLM that making money is easy, when in fact it was not (as the statistics have proven).
