Need Advice: Looking for a flexible sales job I can start part time.?

Anyone have any ideas, I am a young salesman looking, who just loves sales jobs. I have a current great sales job selling furniture, which is good but i am unfulfilled. I am not looking for get rich quick quick schemes or mlm, I am looking for a career in sales. Please do not contant me with your Mlm Company. I just want to start a sales job on the side to sharpen my sales abilities in a different arena and make some money on the side. Anyone have any ideas of where to look for opportunities, like this?

Please don’t trust anyone from a message board or chatroom as no one really knows if the person is legit regardless of their handle/name. How about applying at one of those electronics stores that may offer employees commission such as best buy or circuit city. How fortunate you are to have sales ability! It really is a talent and a skill.

Starting a Primed-for-Success Mlm Business

Starting a home business that is primed for success can be intimidating to the uninitiated.  It involves designing a good website, paying for the domain, and learning the intricacies of Internet marketing.  So the next best thing for newbies is to go into this business by testing the waters first.  This means selling before setting up one’s own website.  

One such option is to sell products on eBay, the most visited e-commerce site that generates over $1,000 sales every second. Here, 72 percent of users earn as much as $50,000 per year. Experienced network marketers agree that first-time entrepreneurs can find instant profit and success through this route.

Multi Level Marketing vs Direct Sales

MLM, also known as Multi Level or Network Marketing, and Direct Sales are two distinct segments of the booming home based business industry. More and more people are looking at starting their own home based business and with thousands of companies to choose from it can be a daunting task to pick not only a company, but the correct business model for you. In order for you to make the correct choice you must be fully educated the two types of business models I have detailed here.

Direct Sales and Mlm Companies typically operate in what is called the home based business industry. Most of you have most likely been presented the opportunity to take part in one or both. Some examples of companies would be Monavie or Herbalife (MLM) and Liberty League or Wealth Masters (Direct Sales). As I mentioned earlier, they are very different so let’s take a look at each and go over the features and beneifts of each before comparing them.

MLM, sometimes referred to as Network Marketing, is a business model where a person is allowed to not only be a customer, but also have the opportunity to resell the products. In addition to being able to resell the products and earn commission on those sales, a person is able to sign up other reps and earn an override on their sales. Now is where the “multi-level” come in to play because it doesn’t stop there. The original rep can also earn overrides on the reps his reps sign up and essentially build a team of reps he or she is earning overrides on.

This typically will go down several levels of overrides. Most plans pay on average, a 5% commission or override on these teams and reps are required to purchase a certain amount of product each month, called an autoship, in order to qualify to get paid. The payouts are small in real dollars, but they count on getting a small piece of hundreds or thousands of reps long term. These plans can get very complicated, but this is the general concept of how it works.

Direct Sales on the other hand is what its name implies, direct sales of the company product(s) to the customer. The rep or associate will typically profit the difference between the wholesale and retail cost. Where Mlm Plans are generally complicated for the average person outside the industry to understand, direct sales plans are easy to explain as it mirrors what happens everyday in the marketplace.

Direct Sales companies are noted for typically having high end products with higher price tags, but also pay a higher commission. For example, Liberty League International has a product that retails for $1,495 dollars and the wholesale cost is $495, which will pay the associate an upfront commission of $1,000.

Most companies have some type of training sales attached to the new associate before he or she can make the commission on his own sales, much like in the financial industry with insurance agents and brokers. Once a rep has completed training for that product he would be qualified for life to receive pay on that product sale. These companies usually have 2 or 3 additional product at a higher price that an associate can upgrade to where additional commissions are earned by the original associate.

Again, these are rudimentary examples, but you should get the idea of how the two work now.

How do they compare? MLM is a lower barrier to entry and many see that as a plus, it also requires a lot more reps on your team to earn a significant income, sometimes up to 200 just to make $1,000. It will also take you time to build a team this size so the upfront income is minimal. The MLM leaders promote walk away income once your team is built, but that is simply a myth that doesn’t really exist in the end.

Direct Sales companies require more startup expenses, but the ongoing cost can be lower after a period of time. They offer the potential of higher level earnings in a much shorter time, but except for one maybe two companies, don’t provide the residual income potential a solid Mlm Company will. Some of the top companies do provide a significant passive income stream.

In the end, it is personal preference. While I feel one is the better option, that is another article altogether. One should evaluate the company management, the products and the systems they use to market in order to find the correct fit for them. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, but both are great options if they match up with you!

An Unbiased Review of the Newest Mlm Company - Maakoa

Is the world ready for one more health and wellness direct marketing company that relies on a new Amazon fruit? The management personnel at Maakoa (www.Maakoa.com) are betting in the affirmative. The Utah based company named Maakoa began business on July 4th, 2009. The translation of Maakoa in English is “fearless,” which is the company’s slogan. According to its website, Maakoa demonstrates its fearless philosophy by “taking on bold new challenges and succeeding when others may fail. It’s about building relationships and treating people the right way.”

Presently, the company offers two products. Koopuwa juice is the first product. As with a number of juices today, Koopuwa contains the berries Acai, Blueberry and Pomegranate. But Maakoa is hopeful that what will distinguish Koopuwa from other juices is the latest South American super fruit to make its way to the United States - Cupuaçu (pronounced “coo poo ahh sue”). Cupuaçu is the most popular fruit in the Amazon and is used to make jams, cakes, ice creams and a number of other foods. The native people of the Amazon have used the fruit as a primary food source for centuries and believe that Cupuaçu had medicinal properties to relieve child birth pains and abdominal problems. The Cupuaçu tree grows about 60 feet high and the fruit is similar to a coconut. The plant is a remote relative of the plant that produces cocoa beans, and while the sweet pulp is used in the Maakoa juice product, the seed of the Cupuaçu is used to make a product similar to chocolate.

Cupuaçu also has a unique type of polyphenols named theograndins, which are a recent revelation. Theograndins have powerful antioxidant activity and provide benefits to the cardiovascular and immune systems. It has been described to improve mental clarity, energy and stamina, libido, circulation and provide a host of other healthy benefits.

The next product by Maakoa is MXp3 – a protein powder that improves performance – which comes in two formulas. One formula is for those who want to increase muscle mass while the second is designed to build lean muscle mass while also suppressing the appetite to support weight loss. The literature for MXp3 claims that it “is the complete drink that offers the necessary building blocks of health and nutrition, while building the muscle mass you desire. The unique formula of MXp3 provides the essential protein and body building nutrients for those looking to build lean, strong muscle.” The list of ingredients is very typical of many protein shake mixes, and Maakoa does not claim any unique proprietary formula.

The compensation plan for the company lists seven ways to be paid in its binary system. In addition to retail sales and autoship rebates, associates can earn bonuses for signing up new distributors. There are two buy in plans at $229 and $499. On the sale of the lower priced package, the company pays an associate a bonus of $40, while the higher priced package creates $100 in income for the associate. An associate can earn higher bonuses of $80 and $200, respectively, if he sponsors 2 or more new distributors every four weeks. Once the associate has personally sponsored two distributors, he is eligible to earn a weekly 10% commission on the total volume of his smaller binary leg. There is no requirement to keep the volume of each binary leg within a certain ratio of the other leg, as is common with some binary systems. Associates can also earn bonuses of $80 by assisting their downline sign up new associates within the first four weeks of the distributor’s signup. Maakoa also has a leadership matching bonus program that is completely separate from the binary plan. Once an associate has achieved a certain rank, he can earn matching bonuses on personal sponsors and their direct descendants down to six levels deep.

The management team behind Maakoa is Bruce Davis, who is the president and CEO. Davis previously was an executive with a software company that provided infrastructure to other Network Marketing Companies. David Simpson is the vice president of operations for Maakoa. For the previous 25 years, he owned a real estate development company. The vice president of sales is Todd Kirkpatrick, who has a background in corporate recruiting, development and training. Kimble Smith is the vice president of product development. Smith is the founder of Kimac Industries, a supply chain and product distribution company. In the first quarter of operation, Maakoa has attempted to improve its branding by sponsoring several sporting events near its headquarters in Utah and recently entered into a multi-year marketing partnership with the Utah Flash, a team in the NBA’s development league.

So is Maakoa the next can’t miss opportunity or will it be a flame out? That is a difficult question to answer. Maakoa has creative marketing materials and a well organized and designed website, although I believe it needs to increase its content. Much will depend upon the length of the popularity of juice drinks. Many have argued that juice companies are over saturating the market place, yet they continue to emerge and many do well. As with most organizations, long term success will depend upon the management team, the capitalization of the company and how quickly and how well the company develops additional products. Time will tell, but Maakoa seems to be off to a promising start, and I will be interested to see how the company develops over time.

Treat Your Business Like a “Business”

MLM Marketing is a great way to earn from home and is the only option for many people. Mom’s who have children that aren’t of age to go to school, artists that have to spend more time on a project than a given day, or writers who need to be alone to work are all examples of people who aren’t able to work an 8 to 5 job, it simply wouldn’t work.

There are many veterans in the MLM marketing industry because it gives a perfect solution to those of us who must work from home. Those who have been in this industry for many years will agree that there are some ground rules for creating a Successful Mlm marketing business.

This guide will cover the basics that a new home business owner must follow in order to be successful in the MLM marketing industry.

As those who come before us in the Work From Home Mlm marketing category will advise, there are some requirements, some must-dos. Here are a few of them, as defined and discussed:

MLM Marketing Rule #1

Keep a professional schedule. It’s easy to take a day off in MLM marketing, especially when it’s a gloomy day and your bed is extra warm and cozy but don’t do it. Force yourself to keep and reasonable working schedule. This will help you build momentum to continue to grow your MLM marketing business. Keep in mind as it’s been stated before, “It’s easier to keep going that it is to get going”.

MLM Marketing Rule #2

Get dressed. It is hard to stay motivated by working in your pajamas. It creates a natural sleep mode mentality which ultimately leads to less productivity on your part. You want to be sure you do everyday things that you usually do. I often hear people say they like MLM marketing because they can work from home in their pajamas. I would question how successful those people really are. They are either super successful and no longer need to work, which I don’t know why you would be talking to them in the first place, or it’s more than likely they aren’t successful at all and are just trying to lure you in to their MLM marketing program by using it as a benefit.

MLM Marketing Rule #3

Discourage interruptions. As anyone involved in MLM marketing knows, this is the single most difficult thing to do. The kids need something or the dog barks to be let out and back in. The wife or roommate stops by to remind you of something, ask a question or start a conversation. You want to make it clear you are at work. Pretend you are at the office the same way you would if you have a J-O-B that you drive to everyday. You wouldn’t be at home so keep it that way. If that doesn’t work think of using a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign and don’t acknowledge anyone or anything that could distract you from working.

MLM Marketing Rule #4

Beware of scams. If you are new to MLM marketing or home business in general I would advise you to beware of an opportunity that says “work from home” or any variation there of. Remember, an employer is looking for someone with a specific skillset not for people who work at home in general. If you read something that is too general more than likely you will be required to send or invest some money and the job will never materialize. There isn’t a job on this planet that should require you to put money up front because you are looking to earn it, not spend it.

But besides the fun part and the hype that you notice daily, there are some good exceptions of companies that are destined to a bright future which can turn very profitable for the distributors with the good sense to join at this point.

Of course chances are that the majority of the start-up companies will fail. So the real question comes down to what is that which distinguishes a future success from a certain failure?

To some that is the one million dollar question, while others can cut on the money they spend to the fortunetellers.

Though I don’t profess to be a prognosticator, there are a few simple things that you can check out on a new company that if cannot pick a winner, surely can reveal a loser.

First of all, the most important thing you need to check is the owners and its management team. Learn their names and find out if they have any previous experience in the Multilevel Marketing industry or in any business at all. The more experience they have and the closer to our industry that is, the better. Also don’t forget to check out if there is anything negative at their past. If they lack integrity or you can’t trust them needless to say that you should stay away. It’s Incredible what you can find about almost anyone if you Google his name these days.

Second, check the compensation plan. It’s an important factor to the stability of the business and it’s future expansion. If it rewards too much the “big guns” compared to the average distributor, its expansion can pretty soon come to an halt and so it’s profitability. Make it the other way and there is no incentive for real progress, so it may never really take off in numbers and in profits, of course.

Third, although the product is not that important, what matters is the segment of the market that is targeting. Is this a market where demand exists? What is the competition? If there is no competition, why? If it’s fierce how the company is going to differentiate and brand the product so it would stand out from competition?

Fourth, is there a training program? Without one, new distributors, would really have a problem start making sales and in this case much of the training responsibility, if not all, would fall into your shoulders for those you sponsor. Which of course can cost you in more time that can cut off the expansion speed of your organization.

· It says right up front that it is an Mlm Business. One does not have to read through five or six web pages of “information” before discovering this.

· It plainly states that one gets out of it what one puts into it. There are no “pie-in-the-sky”, “make your investment, sit back, and watch the money roll in” gimmicks.

Arbonne® Secret #3: The company is not afraid to “branch out”. Besides skin care products, they carry a line of men’s products, products for babies, and health and wellness products, which include those that are designed to aid in weight control.

Arbonne® Secret #4: It offers several levels of participation. One may simply wish to be a “client” or “customer”, ordering either on-line or from a consultant.

One may wish to become a consultant, and sell Arbonne® products.

One may wish to lead a team of consultants.

Arbonne® Secret #5: Only a minimum investment is required, and it IS minimum. The website lists the basic starter kit as only costing $29, and contains enough products that anyone who may be interested in becoming a consultant can begin to become familiar with the merchandise and see how each thing works.

The company comes across as being very honest and open about its products, methods of conducting business, and other aspects of the organization. Consultants are expected to adhere to a “code of ethics”, which is printed on the website so that anyone can review it.

The company itself is considered a “secret”, as it is not currently as well known as Mary Kay® or Avon®. However, this is changing as more and more people discover it and begin to use the products.

It would appear that the Arbonne® secrets can actually be considered more as smart business practices. The actual Arbonne® website itself (not one of the ones posted by consultants advertising that they sell Arbonne® products), is, as mentioned earlier, very simple and direct in its approach.

One might say it is “refreshing”, as the site does not bombard the senses with pop-ups, flashing words, bold, intrusive advertisements, or other distractions. It merely presents the facts about the company, as well as information on the products.

Again, the thing that makes the website unique in its own way is its forthright, frank admission that it does take work to be successful. This is something that is not often seen in the MLM field, unfortunately, so when it does appear, it certainly makes for a nice change. It is hoped that Arbonne® continues this.

Mlm Training: Generate Mlm Leads With A Lazy Downline?

Are your kind offers of help to generate MLM leads and MLM training in general falling on deaf ears?

You know, having a lazy downline used to be the quickest route to grey hair and stomach complaints known to the MLM community. I remember taking some of the world’s least motivated Mlm Downline builders to hotel meetings and major functions. They used to duck behind a pillar after five minutes, petrified I’d introduce them to anyone successful.

Usually they were outside (in all weathers) with the smokers, even those that didn’t smoke. Obviously they preferred the atmosphere of stale tobacco to the sound of motivated and committed upline telling them they could be successful!

But a lot has changed since then. For one thing, MLM training is not so dominated by huge get-togethers, with a sizeable ‘cajoled’ contingent. Some of the world’s biggest MLM downline builders Generate Mlm Leads Online in such numbers that it is this type of MLM training that is in higher demand rather than tips on how to successfully hand out a DVD to ‘Nigel from Accounts’.

Another past problem with lazy downline members was the fact that their laziness would duplicate downwards. So as we tried to create an ‘on-message’ group of enthusiastic MLM downline builders under these individuals, the apathy would dilute anything we said to them. As the new people would be friends of our lazy downline, our positive influence would be drastically diluted.

It seems crazy today that some of us allowed lazy downline members to sap our enthusiasm to such an extent. Maybe you remember that feeling of leaving a large gathering full of revved and motivated distributors and thinking ‘I wish my own group had even one percent of that’.

Yes, in the old days, trying to crowbar Mlm Training Tools into the hands of our lazy downline wasted so much time, it wasn’t even funny. I was expecting people to generate MLM leads when it wasn’t even certain they were generating a pulse.

Another thing lazy downline members would never dream of doing was retailing products. Some would give me a look that would strip paint. The notion of actually doing something was the element of the MLM training that met with the most dogged resistance!

Any attempts by me to generate MLM leads ‘under’ my lazy downline where also sabotaged. Maybe they were supreme MLM downline builders ‘in the rough’. But there’s rough and rough, isn’t there. It was all so much hard work for which there was no reward. I’m getting welled up here!

But these days lazy downline members are not going to hasten our ageing process and make us question what on earth made us think we could ever be succesful MLM downline builders. Even more than that, they can be precisely the kind of distributors we do want on board! Eh?

It’s true. It’s not an uncommon human failing to want the rewards of a large independent income stream such as the big-hitting MLM downline builders enjoy whilst doing next to nothing to attain it. In days gone by we’d say something trite to them like ‘the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.’

But now, it is possible to generate MLM leads, leveraging off a lazy downline, giving you and them exactly what they want. Sure it might cost them a little of their cash, but for a lazy downline the idea of having negligible work to do and zero rejection to face is very seductive. Why not give them that? They may become ambitious over time. but their unwillingness to ‘buy in’ on faith at the outset no longer means there’s no role for the lazy in your success. Bring them in!

They may never generate MLM leads for themselves and never really become MLM downline builders, but contrary to what outdated MLM training would have us believe in the past, a lazy downline can contribute hugely to your success and let’s face it, that opens up one enormous market!
